Today marks the 50th day of my field season! I’ve been on the road conducting a continental transect of Lotus corniculatus across Europe, from Portugal to Sweden. With the samples I’ve collected, I aim to study the effects of 50+ years of environmental change on the evolution of their plant defences

Had the awesome opportunity to present a poster at Carleton’s OE3C this year! I shared some preliminary work from the first chapter of my PhD thesis looking at how urbanization may be driving parallel and convergent evolution in plant defence 🌿

An amazing couple of weekends in Point Pelee for their festival of birds! Over 125 species sighted over both weekends with a ton of warblers and shorebirds spotted at Hillman Marsh. Thanks @ellmartin.bsky.social @nehalnaik.bsky.social @Miaakbar for all the birding fun!
