The Boulder hub invites proposals for panels, roundtables, and individual papers on the theme of "Event.” Given their location in the American West, they especially welcome papers on topics of indigeneity, settler colonialism, and the significance of time and place from 1789-1914.

In partnership with the Victorians Institute, the Atlanta hub will take place at Georgia State University’s downtown campus September 20-22, 2024. We welcome proposals for papers and panels related to the conference theme of “event,” broadly interpreted. (1/2)

Easily reached by train from across Europe, the Frankfurt hub hosts a series of panels on Victorian and neo-Victorian mobilities. This hub takes place at Goethe University which looks back on a complex history and has now been turned into an expansive strolling ground. (1/2)

The Montréal hub will host a range of conversations around the theme of “Event” in Victorian studies. The city offers food markets and restaurants, museums and botanical gardens, the centuries-old streets and buildings of Vieux Montréal, and dynamic, welcoming neighbourhoods.

The Waco hub is hosted at Baylor’s Armstrong Browning Library, which houses a rare collection dedicated to Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, with tens of thousands of items extending to many other authors and dimensions of nineteenth-century literature and culture. (1/3)
