Had another sensible conversation at work today about covid and masking. That’s at least 3-4 supportive convos. Maybe people are realising it’s a bad thing. Of course I’m still the only masker 😷😐

Nothing makes me feel like a worse human than when I have to drag my very cute dog through the park away from all the other dogs because she’s behaving like a total psychopath. I swear I am trying to do what’s best for her 🤣

Mini break at the beach was a good circuit breaker. Had to avoid a lot of places due to crowds and sick people. I was the only mask freak obvs. But soaked up sunshine, sea air, walked, found excellent gluten free fish and chip shop. Unwound. Got home and dog and I both passed out on couch 🤣

Having some lunch out. Outside good distance. People at next table are waxing lyrical about all their overseas travels. I feel so far removed from any of that kind of life these days.

Good ventilation at this lunch place. Not many people here either.

People are already off with covid after events and the end of year wrap up this year feels way worse than normal. Less empathy. More rudeness. Frenzy of busy work and events that seems unnecessary. Not sure how long I can keep this nonsense going.

Was using a little piece of cheese as a reward for the doggo for some behaviour training at bedtime. Now she won’t go to bed until she gets the cheese payment. 🤣

I said chronic infection could well be a thing from the start. Evidence? Other coronaviruses… Then the persistent RNA shedding… Then reservoirs of infection being dug up slowly over time…

It’s already cooled off a bit. Guess it’ll be even cooler shortly 😳

Being the only masker is hugely exhausting. Everyone I’ve talked to today has been super nice and told me all about how dreadful covid is (but they don’t do anything to avoid it). Even so it’s not easy to go against the social contract.

Not at all helpfully the doggo ripped off a dew claw on Sunday afternoon before I’m meant to fly interstate for two days early Monday morning. Luckily she’s ok and I have the best dog minder but what a palaver it’s been at the vet.

Whelp the Pfizer vax I had yesterday is making me feel like absolute rubbish. Glad to have had it but loathe feeling like this.

I have lost the battle with the dog about her not eating her snacks on my bed. She’s bloody stubborn even more than me.
