It's Tuesday but I feel like I've put in a week of work. I can't wait to get home, have a decaf (my comfort drink) and smoke a joint.

It was a restless night (the weather is wrecking havoc on my joints and muscles). I'm spending the morning in bed with coffee. I can nap later.

I had a 3 hour nap late this afternoon into the evening. My body finally admitted defeat. Now I want coffee and a joint.

It's probably a good thing it'll be bitterly cold this weekend. My aching feet and legs need a break, and Friday morning it took ten minutes for the feeling to come back to my fingers after just a couple of minutes' exposure to the wind. It's a hibernation weekend.

Getting around uptown today is an exercise in patience, spatial awareness, and agility, especially when there's no sidewalk and the street is the only option.

There are snowmobile tracks in King's Square. I love this city.

New Year's Eve plans: working until 11:30. Saint John Transit is on the regular weeknight schedule tonight so I'll get home by 11:45, plenty of time to watch the clock strike midnight and put an end to this miserable year.
