I'm still writing code the hard way. I'm slow. I like to think critically about every line of code and fiddle with variable names until everything looks right. I treat code as a liability and try to ship only what's necessary. It's hard to imagine writing code any other way.

After years of wanting a 3D printer, I finally got my hands on a (used) Bambu Lab X1 Carbon today. The 7-year-old and I printed a simple articulated gingerbread man, and the look on his face when he held his new toy was priceless.

With supply-chain attacks on NPM rising, we disabled all install scripts (preinstall, postinstall, etc.) across our projects. That broke builds for native modules, especially libpq, which we rely on heavily. Our fix: pre-build libpq for Linux (x86_64 + arm64) and macOS, then publish it to NPM.
