The 20 minute layover on a through train between HFD and points south of NHV for the locomotive switch makes me think I’m in the olden days

Figured out a Hartford Line hack…fares went up recently to $8.75 from HFD to New Haven, but Amtrak sells tickets for $8 and they are valid on all Hartford Line trains. It works to State Street, haven't tried it from Union to Union.

Called 311 because my trash didn't get picked up…then no one answered 311 because they were closed in the middle of the day, then called DPW and got no answer, called the mayor's office and now we wait.

Just watched the show Ghosts, the American one, and I was pleasantly surprised. Surprised enough to binge the whole thing so now I wait for the new season.

I'm just a man, waiting for an email back from Hartford DPW. Maybe I will get a response before the new year.

I find it odd how the state rep who doesn't even represent Hartford but does more than most of the Hartford delegation loses a lawsuit against the city after getting attacked and the police fumbled the ball.
