A mother cow desperately sniffs and puts her head over the fence of a calf pen. She can see them, she can hear them, but she can not get to them.In the dairy industry, cows are artificially inseminated. She carries her baby for nine months before giving birth. Within a day her calf is taken, so that the milk she makes for her baby can be used for human consumption. This cycle is then repeated 🥛Mother cows are extremely maternal, and bond instantly with their calves. Separation is distressing, with both calling out for each other for days on end.You can see the frustration, you can see the longing. Cows in the dairy industry are psychically, mentally and psychologically tormented and forced to endure years of exploitation in the name of human greed.There are many easily accessible and affordable plant-based alternatives to dairy products.
