Dragon Quest X has like 23 different classes. It ain't as in-depth as the crazy shit in FFXI, nor the subjob stuff, but they're pretty fun and relatively simple. Keep thinking "oh this would be neat to level". But gonna focus on Item Master now. Because apparently the game has two pet classes?

Why the fuck does DQX have a working, regularly scheduled broadcast in-game? Is this the latest dev team update or something that replays every so often?

Well, I unlocked a new class in Dragon Quest X. Apparently.

FFXIV: You must kill the last of an ancient race because of his crimes against all life, even knowing he was a close friend and is desperately trying to revive his people. DQX: Evilman showed up and killed an entire continent because he's evil. His motivation is he's evil. You are the hero.

More Dragon Quest X brain thoughts: I'm really enjoying the simple stories that Dragon Quest games have, including DQX. It's a nice change of pace sometimes from all these super deep complicated characters, to come here and have "Yeah that fuckers evil. He has PURPLE SMOKE."

You know, Dragon Quest always had unusual takes on the normal fantasy races, but now that I look at them... dwarf women in DQX are kinda just goblins. Now I kinda want to make one.

Unlocked Dancer and Monster Master in Dragon Quest X, and got them both to at least level 30 with the rookie metal slime event thing. Think I'll main Monster Master going forwards so I can train me up some slime pets. But it gave me the "Monster Breeder" title and... I can't be trusted with this.

Got plenty of stuff done today... we watched our trusts pummel a boss that has an AoE charm ability so we just didn't go near him. We nearly got our artifact armour set done, and then gotta get relic gear. Ended early because sudden stomach crappiness, probably left over from mon/tues.

Goddamn Dragon Quest X is pretty. Looks better in motion with all the moving water. And the only background sound is just distant waves crashing on the rocks below. So peaceful. DQX is basically a good 1player Dragon Quest game, but with MMO mechanics added. And a clever take on the genre, too.

For once we almost actually focused on a task! We got RUN to level 99, got the Aettir and also ambuscade+1 gear after doing a few runs so we're set up on a basic level. Then started doing the armour quests for RUN and got lost a lot. Then I missed Spectral Jig so much we're now RUN/DNC.

Aw shit we hit level 99 runefencer, and got our shit all equipped. Also picked up the Aettir sword so we're pretty beefy. Now to do quests to get artifact/relic/empy stuff. #ffxi

Dragon Quest X - where even the low level equipment is nice looking because Dragon Quest has style.

Apparently on the 'newbie servers/shards for Dragon Quest X they have 30 minute events where metal slimes show up in fights. I'm now level 30, so that's neat. That starter boss is gonna get wrecked.

Playing more Dragon Quest X, because it's pretty awesome. It has user selectable "icons", similar to the sprout icon from FFXIV. However, many more options. Like 'Seeking Party', 'Playing Alone', and even 'Streaming'. Says to use that when streaming but I wonder how common that is.

We truly epitomized "Rock and Stone" as a super hero. Covered in rock, with rock skin, punching things with rocks. And nearly dying repeatedly because we can barely heal and apparently lasers hurt for some reason. The heroic story of Gen Denelith has begun and will continue next week.

Bro in Dragon Quest X you can fucking SHOVE enemies while in combat, based on your character's weight stat and enemies can push you if you're light. Straight up bully enemies.

Got Dragon Quest X up and running, with translator and whatnot. Made a girl character because I wanna make big ogre lady, but you also have to make a sibling. So made a little brother I can hopefully use as a projectile weapon named "Steve" in hiragana. Game just starts off with a weird turtle.
