My statement on reports that President Trump is considering a pardon of Governor Whitmer’s attempted kidnappers:

100 days in and we’re just getting warmed up. We launched this campaign rooted in purpose—to protect what matters, serve the people, and unify Michigan. Thank you for walking with me.

Thank you to UA Local 85 for the warm welcome and for allowing me to share my platform last week! I’ll always stand shoulder to shoulder with the men and women who built this state. And as your governor, I will continue the fight to ensure labor always has a seat at the table. #Solidarity

Second chances are crucial. Yesterday, I spoke at the Unite to Face Addiction rally, where I met a father and daughter who graduated from our IGNITE program together. Side by side, they worked to reclaim their lives and build a new future. I do this for Michiganders like them.

What a busy three months it’s been. Our campaign is growing, our coalition is building, and the energy is only getting stronger. This is just the beginning. Let’s keep walking–together!

One of the pillars of my campaign is to protect, and that includes our four-legged friends. Last weekend, I stopped in Utica for their Puppy Parade, which celebrated National Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. At this parade, I met survivors like Gideon and Bindi.

The coalition we’re building is rooted in unity, listening, and delivering results for every corner of Michigan. This afternoon, I drove down to Monroe to speak with their county Democratic chapter about my campaign for Governor. Thanks for having me!

Michigan is looking for someone who is a fighter, one who won’t back down, and understands their needs. My time in law enforcement has pushed me to be that leader. I’ve fought for my community, and now I’m ready to bring that passion to the rest of the state.

Efforts to overturn fundamental rights, silence classrooms, or control who gets to vote in fair elections will not protect democracy. That’s an attack.   I’m running to serve every person in Michigan, not just a party or an ideology.

We deserve leadership that protects our rights and strengthens our families. That’s the future I’m fighting for.

I am no stranger to working with people from both parties for the good of the people—whether it’s bringing people together, keeping our communities safe, or spearheading initiatives.

Happy Earth Day! Today has me reflecting on Michigan’s natural beauty and the importance of protecting it at all costs. Protecting our people means we need to protect our planet. We need leaders who will show up, speak out, and act.

Grounded in humility and compassion for all people, Pope Francis showed the world what true leadership looks like. His commitment to lifting the broken wasn’t just faith in action—it was a blueprint for humanity. Today, we honor his legacy of service, grace, and unity.

Everything rises and falls on education. Pre-K to job training, we must invest in our schools and empower students to succeed. I’ve taught 3 generations of students—now I’m ready to fight for every classroom in Michigan.

Proud to have the unanimous endorsement of the Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee Building Trades Council! Three major counties. Fourteen construction trades. One shared belief that worker and union rights need to be protected at all costs. I’m honored to stand with them.

Working in law enforcement for over 30 years, I saw the worst and best times for our communities. In every time of need I stepped in to help communities heal. Why? Because that is what leaders do.

Building a community starts with investing in our future. So, this weekend I joined my friends from the Union Sportsmen Alliance at their annual Conservation Dinner. Every dollar raised goes back to helping kids and making our county parks more accessible. Thank you @uaw.org and Local 659!

All my life, I’ve been inspired by the strength and leadership of the women around me. My mom, my wife, and the women who have stepped up to serve for a better Michigan. This Women’s History Month, let’s continue to honor the impact of the women in our lives.

As we close Black History Month, let’s remember that the fight for justice, equality, and unity isn’t over. Michigan’s history isn’t exempt from struggle, but our communities have always remained resilient. So will I, committed to protecting and defending what’s right and fair.

The decision to pause tariffs on our neighbors is a step toward the right direction, but we can’t ignore the staggering loss of critical government jobs in the last month. I aim to protect auto manufacturing and small businesses in Michigan so that our economy remains strong.

Build, baby, build—I liked that, @biggretchenwhitmer.bsky.social. When we invest in the state’s infrastructure it trickles down. If we keep jobs in Michigan, lower costs on everyday items, or supply resources for small businesses, we will get more homes and more happy Michiganders.
