Trying something new to find women to join my study on ADHD self-diagnosis and social media. I don't want to put anything that might bias participants, but if it's not interesting content then I can't get the word out. Also, social media recruitment has not be good for my RSD. #neurodivergence

There is a good deal of overlap between non-binary gender identities and neurodivergence, unfortunately, I'm not as familiar with queer academic theory as I am the intersectionality and disability paradigms. It'd be a great follow up study if I could work with someone who had expertise in the lit.

I am finding out the hard way one of the reasons there are so few studies on people with ADHD. It's a .... uniquely difficult population to schedule interviews, which seems obvious now, but it's been discouraging. 😣

I am really hoping to interview women both with and without a formal diagnosis. There are a lot of reasons someone with ADHD might not have a formal diagnosis, and I'm studying ADHD from a sociological perspective which is different approach from the medical model we're used to.
