I spoke with the Edmonton Journal about Canada losing its measles elimination status — the only G7 country to do so. 40% of outbreaks are in Alberta, where the UCP blocked its top doctor from urging vaccines. Politics should never come before public health.

Families, seniors, and patients deserve better. Alberta is facing outbreaks and waitlists while the government fails to provide clear leadership. Decisions must be based on science and expert advice, not politics.

Albertans used to get COVID-19 vaccines easily and for free at pharmacies. Now access is limited, confusing, and costly. Some must travel hours to get a dose. Vaccines are basic preventative care. They shouldn’t be this hard, and this government has no plan to fix it.

Smith is silencing the investigators. Fired the AHS CEO & the entire board for looking into corruption. Now firing the Auditor General for exposing corruption. When you fire the watchdogs, it's not about efficiency—it's about avoiding accountability.

A shameful first for Alberta. The UCP is using the Notwithstanding Clause to force teachers back to work and impose a contract 90% rejected. This is an attack on workers' rights and a distraction from their failure to fund our classrooms. We condemn this abuse of power.

When a teacher's lunch hour is not their own, it underscores a system that stretched them to limit. This level of pressure is unsustainable & doesn’t lead to better education outcomes. That is why I stand with teachers for better support. The premier should start listening!

Albertans are voicing deep frustrations about the current vaccination booking for COVID19 & influenza. The process is broken, inequitable, & inaccessible, creating unnecessary barriers. The UCP government policies are failing Albertans in accessing essential public health.

Our healthcare system is being deliberately dismantled. ✖️ Fragmenting services. ✖️ Diverting public funds to for-profit corps. ✖️ Ignoring and alienating our health experts. Market-driven care creates inequity and costs more to the public. We must reverse this UCP dangerous course.

Alberta has world-class vaccine infrastructure & highly trained health professionals to deliver. Charging seniors for a COVID19 vaccine? That’s a barrier to access & a public health risk. When cost prevents people who need the most from getting vaccinated, we all pay the price.

Teachers strike means empty classrooms. For many kids, it also means empty plates. They're missing the nutrition they relied on at school. This was preventable. It's time to FUND Public Schools fairly.

If you are young albertan who is struggling to find a job, this is NOT YOUR FAULT. If you are a young albertan who is paid the lowest wage in Canada, it is NOT YOUR FAULT. The economic environment and the UCP policies are to be blamed.

Today, October 1st, Saskatchewan increased its minimum wage. This will officially make: 👉Young Albertans receive the LOWEST MINIMUM WAGE in Canada. 👉Young Albertans have the HIGHEST unemployment rate in Canada. Next week, young Albertans will have no teachers & classrooms.

Alberta leads Canada in a shameful statistic: students going to school hungry. 40% of kids in our province are food-insecure. A 30% increase in one year. This is a result of policy failure from the UCP government. Albertans deserve better!

The UCP government strategy on the Corrupt Care scandal is and has been: ❗️No public inquiry. ❗️A delayed report. ❗️No promise of release. What are they hiding from Albertans?

Across Canada, provinces are raising minimum wages this October to help workers. In Alberta, the UCP refuses to act. Minimum wage has been frozen at $15 since 2018, the lowest in the country. Families are struggling with rising rent and groceries while the government does nothing. Unacceptable!

Albertans pay second highest auto insurance in Canada. On average, we approximately pay: 👉 $770 more than Manitobans 👉 $777 more than British Columbians 👉 $763 more than Saskatchewanians 👉 $510 more than Quebecers Why? Those provinces are in common having public insurance system. Alberta doesn’t.

The Premier claims showing citizenship on driver's licenses helps AISH recipients. Do you know what would help? ✋Stop clawing back the $200. ✋Stop the anxiety due to your policies. ✋Stop pushing them into a bad job market. ✋Treat them with the dignity. That is what helps!

Under the UCP, Alberta now has: ➡️ The 2nd most expensive utilities ➡️ The 2nd highest auto insurance ➡️ The HIGHEST unemployment ➡️ The LOWEST minimum wage They have a whole ministry tasked with making life affordable. But, does it feel more affordable for you & your family?

Building inclusive communities starts with housing. Honoured to join a roundtable with Janis Irwin , Lorne Dach , the Intentional Community Consortium. We discussed expanding affordable, accessible housing for Albertans with developmental disabilities. Better is possible!

If we want strong communities, we need strong public education. It is non negotiable. Alberta’s classrooms bursting at the seams and teacher burnout help no one. Our children deserve the best, and so do their teachers.

How can the UCP justify pushing severely disabled Albertans into a terrible job market? Alberta's unemployment is the highest in 50 years. Forcing AISH recipients to compete in such a job market is a recipe for increased homelessness & profound hardship. We can do better.

The Alberta we know & believe in is one that: 👉 Protects the vulnerable. 👉 Supports those in need. 👉 Lifts each other up. We know Albertans have the heart & the strength to build such caring society. We just need the right compassionate leadership to get us there.

Alberta's unemployment is the second highest in Canada, at 8.4%, the highest in 50 yrs. Just in July & August 31,000 jobs in Alberta GONE! Youth unemployment is now 28% . Yes, that is 1 in 3 young Albertans is unemployed. Premier, quit blaming everyone. This is your record.

Alberta is one of Canada's richest provinces. It also has the country's lowest minimum wage. This isn't a coincidence, but it's a policy choice by the UCP government.

Nearly 80,000 Albertans with disabilities rely on AISH. Now, almost all will be forced to reapply, creating fear & stress. At a time of high unemployment, many are also being pushed to “find work.” Albertans with disabilities deserve dignity, not anxiety.
