The UCP government strategy on the Corrupt Care scandal is and has been: ❗️No public inquiry. ❗️A delayed report. ❗️No promise of release. What are they hiding from Albertans?

Across Canada, provinces are raising minimum wages this October to help workers. In Alberta, the UCP refuses to act. Minimum wage has been frozen at $15 since 2018, the lowest in the country. Families are struggling with rising rent and groceries while the government does nothing. Unacceptable!

Albertans pay second highest auto insurance in Canada. On average, we approximately pay: 👉 $770 more than Manitobans 👉 $777 more than British Columbians 👉 $763 more than Saskatchewanians 👉 $510 more than Quebecers Why? Those provinces are in common having public insurance system. Alberta doesn’t.

The Premier claims showing citizenship on driver's licenses helps AISH recipients. Do you know what would help? ✋Stop clawing back the $200. ✋Stop the anxiety due to your policies. ✋Stop pushing them into a bad job market. ✋Treat them with the dignity. That is what helps!

Under the UCP, Alberta now has: ➡️ The 2nd most expensive utilities ➡️ The 2nd highest auto insurance ➡️ The HIGHEST unemployment ➡️ The LOWEST minimum wage They have a whole ministry tasked with making life affordable. But, does it feel more affordable for you & your family?

Building inclusive communities starts with housing. Honoured to join a roundtable with Janis Irwin , Lorne Dach , the Intentional Community Consortium. We discussed expanding affordable, accessible housing for Albertans with developmental disabilities. Better is possible!

If we want strong communities, we need strong public education. It is non negotiable. Alberta’s classrooms bursting at the seams and teacher burnout help no one. Our children deserve the best, and so do their teachers.

I keep hearing from my constituents that; 🆙Grocery bills. 🆙Unemployment. 🆙Food bank use. 🆙Youth unemployment. 🆙Insurance. 🆙The general cost of living. Everything is up, except the support for struggling Albertans. We can do better & better is possible.

How can the UCP justify pushing severely disabled Albertans into a terrible job market? Alberta's unemployment is the highest in 50 years. Forcing AISH recipients to compete in such a job market is a recipe for increased homelessness & profound hardship. We can do better.

The Alberta we know & believe in is one that: 👉 Protects the vulnerable. 👉 Supports those in need. 👉 Lifts each other up. We know Albertans have the heart & the strength to build such caring society. We just need the right compassionate leadership to get us there.

Alberta's unemployment is the second highest in Canada, at 8.4%, the highest in 50 yrs. Just in July & August 31,000 jobs in Alberta GONE! Youth unemployment is now 28% . Yes, that is 1 in 3 young Albertans is unemployed. Premier, quit blaming everyone. This is your record.

Alberta is one of Canada's richest provinces. It also has the country's lowest minimum wage. This isn't a coincidence, but it's a policy choice by the UCP government.

Nearly 80,000 Albertans with disabilities rely on AISH. Now, almost all will be forced to reapply, creating fear & stress. At a time of high unemployment, many are also being pushed to “find work.” Albertans with disabilities deserve dignity, not anxiety.

I just finished reading a powerful blog by one of my constituents. It is about the state of Alberta's education. ▶️Large class sizes. ▶️Underfunding. ▶️Book bans. ▶️Burnout. Our teachers give everything — but they’re being failed by this UCP government. They deserve better.

Smith calls the JBS slaughterhouse in Brooks an “immigrant success story.” Last year, I spoke to a room of 400 people, most of whom work in the meat packaging.They won’t cal it a "success story" Premier should consider talking to her constituents first.

Right on Naheed! Our belief is in a united Canada where Alberta plays a pivotal role. True leadership isn't about going it alone; it's about engaging with our partners to overcome shared challenges. We are stronger together than we are apart.

The answer to Canada's challenges isn't separation. Alberta doesn't need to leave Canada. Canada needs Alberta to lead. Leaving is a surrender to difficulty. We can strengthen the confederation and ensure Alberta's voice shape a stronger, more resilient Canada for everyone.

Alberta schools start today under uncertainty; looming job action, book banning, growing class sizes & complexity. Wishing all our teachers, education support workers & students a year where they are truly supported, valued, and celebrated. Thank you for your hard work!

What an incredible evening at our #BetterTogether Townhall in YEG! The room was filled with people eager to share their stories and hopes for Alberta’s future. Thoughtful and inspiring conversations reminded us of the power of community when we listen, learn and work together for real solutions.

This is a masterclass in bad faith. The UCP forecasted a $5B deficit to justify cuts. Then, they magically found an $8B surplus. Now, on the day of teacher negotiations, they're back to a $6.5B "deficit." Their numbers are a political tool, not a fiscal plan.

Breakfast Club of Canada reports a devastating 40% surge in demand in Alberta, the worst in Canada. Next week, more children are showing up hungry in our schools. UCP’s failure to fix the cost-of-living is leaving parents unable to feed their children.

As kids head back to school next week, many with undernourished lunchboxes. Public Interest Alberta reports that; 🚩30%of children in Alberta can’t afford food. 🚩36%of food bank visitors are children. Food affordability affects families above & below the poverty line. We are all impacted.

The rate of Albertans missing on payments is now HIGHER than national average. Fort Mc families hit worst, followed by Edmonton & Calgary. This is because of; Soaring living costs; Weak job market & Unemployment spike. Did you also feel the squeeze?

Noticing higher insurance bills? You're not imagining it. Albertans spent 3.1% of after-tax income on car insurance in 2023, higher than Canada's 2.9% average. It is getting even worse, expect 15% combined increase coming over just two years. Alberta drivers deserve better.

Another report card is out, & the results are heartbreaking. Under the UCP, Alberta now has the worst food insecurity of all provinces, with 32% of households with food insecure. Only Nunavut 58.1% & Northwest Territories 34.2% rank higher. Albertans deserve better.

Under Danielle Smith’s government, 1 in 3 Calgarians struggled to afford food in 2023. 32% of households faced food insecurity this is 7% above the national average. That’s over 500,000 people going hungry. When will the UCP take this crisis seriously?

Alberta’s loss of 17,000 jobs represents 42% of Canada’s total job losses in July. This is particularly concerning because Alberta accounts for only 12% of the workforce. This means job losses here are over three times higher than the national average.

Alberta’s unemployment rate rose to 7.8% in July. Young men have seen dwindling job opportunities since Smith took office. Albertans deserve a government that prioritizes creating stable, well paying jobs so families can thrive, achieve their potential, & build a better future.

Last year, the UCP promised a new auto insurance changes that will save drivers $400 per year. INSTEAD, your insurance will hike by 7.5% this year, & another 7.5% (or more) next year. NOW, Finance Minister is saying, Alberta drivers are already saving?

New data reveals a shocking reality that 1 in 5 patients at the Royal Alex emergency left without being seen in 2025. This is a proof our healthcare system is on the brink of collapse. How much longer should Albertans wait for a better healthcare?

In my teenage years, I saw first hand famine and starvation in Somalia. I know when I see a starving child, & images from Gaza show starving children. What we see in our eyes is man made starvation, it is inhumane, it is horrible, and it is cruel.
