Chapter 6 introduces a story mechanic that many other narratives treat as a solution to a story... time travel. However, in Gemstone Heroes, I have tried to treat time travel differently. It's nihilistic, existential, punishing, emotional, regretful, extreme... selfish.

Christmas is coming~

You Know Who I Am - Ooooo... Scary... It feels appropriate to release the final preview artwork for Chapter 6 on Halloween. As the chapters roll on, we're getting closer to finding out who The Wise Vulture is, and what she wants.

In the three years that I've been illustrating the chapters so far, I can see a marked improvement in my artwork quality. Looking back on Chapter 1, I can see so many things I would do differently. I really feel as if my artwork has reached a new height with Chapter 6.

All illustrations for Chapter 6 are now complete :3 Time to build the PDF and then the final proof read by another set of eyes. Almost there!

One more illustration to go… Almost there folks~ (apart from a final proof read, of course) This has been the hardest chapter to get done so far. Just two chapters left after this :)

Chapter 6 has been the hardest chapter to illustrate, by far... I have spent a long time on each picture trying to get them to look right. Often going back and updating things as I realise I left something out, or got something wrong. This Chapter is critical to get right.

"Lilian" - Chapter 6 takes place in black and white. We begin with Will leaving home again, but we follow Lilian's side from then on out. Pride overpowers regret until its too late.

Still working on Chapter 6’s illustrations. Slow progress, but I’ll get there. I really recommend re-reading Chapter 1 at least before starting Chapter 6 though ;)

The working title for Chapter 6 is “Grip The Rope” Set many years in the future, way after present day events, Will goes on a reflective journey after getting some regretful news that reopens old wounds.

The art for Chapter 6 will be in black & white, and likely in landscape. It’s time to introduce a new power~
