I visited the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Originally built in 1736, it is one of seven remaining colonial era lighthouses in the US. It has survived fires, a Civil War, hurricanes, and even an earthquake. Not a bad place to be compelled to visit on a gray, rainy day. @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social
