Nyx huffs in frustration. She got caught. Again. And just when she was finally going to get her freedom. Again. Looking out the window, she sees the guy who helped her before. How was he still here? She would take a couple steps forward, staring at him.

Nyx remembers the last time Dr. Gideon caught her trying to escape. She wasn’t taken back to her room. He ordered the other doctors and nurses to do a different “test” on her. To see how far she can tolerate pain before she would lose consciousness. It was only the beginning of that nightmare.

Nyx had finally escaped the “prison” that was the chronic care facility. She had been running and walking for hours to find some sort of town or city that she can hide out for a while. Nyx was frozen in place. She was considering leaving the room entirely or just disappear into the dark corner. So she just stood there for a while.

When he reaches his hand out, she almost hesitates to shake it. She knows what happens if she does… the last thing wants to is scare him off. The last thing she wants to do is have another person see their worst nightmare. So, she just nods her head. “Nice to m-meet you…”

Nyx turns to the direction the man pointed to. “O-Oh perfect, thank you… I-I’m Nyx, by the way.”

She nods her head, looking away from him. “Mmhm… didn’t like getting p-poked and prodded with needles all the time… also I never liked Dr. Gideon…”

She stares at the guy for a moment, fidgeting anxiously. Has she seen him before? She doesn’t think so since she never really interacts with the other patients. Or leaves her secluded room. “O-oh, sorry… I uh… I thought that you were one of the security guards… what are you doing out here?”

Nyx would huff in frustration. She would go under her bed and curl up into a ball. Yet she refuses to let herself cry. “I don’t understand what he even sees in me… I’m not even human…”

She yelps when she hoisted over his shoulder. She hated this. She felt like a child. And just when she could finally see that taste of freedom, it was gone. And even if she could try to use her powers to stop him, she knows she can’t. She tried once before to see his worst fears, but it didn’t work.

Nyx is very much a nocturnal person. Staying up into the late parts of the evening, doing some sort of activity gives her much needed comfort. Especially being alone a lot…
