I interviewed Freeplay's co-founder Katharine Neil a couple of years ago about its origins & legacy. There was SO much fascinating stuff that I couldn't publish but I'm still really proud of the piece & feel as if documenting this stuff holds a tiny bit of importance too.

This is devastating. One of my favourite games of the year, To a T is a beautiful slice-of-life narrative with some of the best disability messaging I’ve seen in games. Please play it!

our videogame is on show at acmi game worlds!! it’s called ACMI EGG 🧍‍♀️ basically there’s this ACMI CREATURE and we have to keep it alive across a shared save file, in real time, day after day after day. if it runs away it’s everybody’s fault and we can share the guilt🧍‍♀️ also it has secrets! the end!
