finally found a fix for something that's been nagging me about OBS for EVER so for any source that had transparency anywhere, such as a chat widget, there'd be annoying gray outline artifacts apparently all you need to do to fix it is Right Click on Source > Blending Method > SRGB Off

yes I will be porting over my SE Chat Bubbles to slime2 desktop, it'll be nice to finally recode that

important thing to note about slime2 is every overlay widget would be its own browser source in OBS (bot widgets run directly in the app). i may build out a separate application later to manage a layout of multiple URL sources in iframes like SE does, but would accept any URL source, not just slime2

for streamers who could be affected by this... I've been working on an alternative to SE for awhile now, which runs entirely on your computer. Slime2 Desktop is getting close to public release, it manages both custom overlay widgets AND custom bot widgets.
