I feel like Dandadan is officially doing the shonen manga arcs too long to be good so you get most of the volume spent on a fight you don't remember the context for and then it resolves shit with a twist that just exasperates

I feel like it's pretty easy to follow the actual plot of Ghost in the Shell but people don't know how to sort plot critical information from details that aren't actually relevant but are there to sell the setting and characters and their roles within it. Which is a good skill to have.
