Tonight was our first official “friend-raiser” of the campaign - a chance for supporters to help us grow our network by inviting their own friends, neighbors, and community to come hear about the race.

Really, Tom Barrett? Michiganders aren’t "excited about" the double-digit rate increases in healthcare for everyone next year, or the massive cuts to Medicaid that kick millions of people off their insurance.

Never forget. 9/11 was a day that changed America, and it changed my life too. I was a Navy SEAL, and my wife Laura was a Navy pilot. As we watched the second plane hit the towers, we rushed to our bases knowing our service was about defending our way of life and defending our country in wartime.

On an unacceptably heavy day in politics, it’s especially good to get together with folks. We were in Corunna for the Shiawassee Dems picnic, and a great chance to catch up with friends, including Shiawassee County’s excellent state rep, Penelope Tsernoglou.

There’s no place for this in America. Political violence of any kind is totally unacceptable. It undermines our democracy and our nation. I’m praying for Charlie Kirk and his family - keep them and everyone who was attending this event in your prayers today.

You can feel it in your gut: everything costs more right now, and it’s not getting any better. So while Tom Barrett may be falling in line with the GOP’s pathetic attempt to “rebrand” their deeply unpopular big bill, Michiganders won’t be fooled.

The Blue Brigade is an indomitable force in mid-Michigan - an awesome group of hundreds of committed volunteers who come together and take action to elect good candidates.

I had an awesome time yesterday touring the UA Local 333 training center. They train people for in-demand jobs that provide not just a good wage, but health care for the whole family, plus retirement security.

Once again, Tom Barrett is letting DC politicians call the shots. He signed on to the bill to release the Epstein files, but now, under pressure from GOP leadership, he’s backing away from doing the right thing. My statement calling on him to sign Rep. Massie’s discharge petition:
