It's been a week. I'm still trying to figure out how to teleport to a Waffle House.

My work is laying people off. I got put on unpaid leave, told to collect unemployment. I keep insurance. I went to the employment department to help me find work. Even had an appointment. Sat down. The guy told me to just move to a different state or collect unemployment. There are no jobs here.

Transparency moment: I'm bombarded by emails offering campaign stuff: mass texts, robocalls, digital ads. I got one for yard signs from a place called UZMarketing. I say we want signs from a union shop; need that union bug. They said "We can include it if you provide the artwork to us." wtf

Transparency moment: a lot of endorsement interviews are like, "how will you personally solve this multifaceted problem that's been plaguing us for years?" But PCUN today was like, "what steps can you take to promote solutions to these current/very urgent issues?" You know, realistic. Thoughtful.

Weird to me that we ever deify individuals for *checks notes* movements that inherently require multitudes. Nobody is unionizing alone. Nobody is organizing social movements alone.

"Establishment union" is a political power. They often decide if candidates get endorsed. They don't hear rank and file wants. They endorse who they think is "viable" based on who's raised the most. But I met one high-up who was shocked to find out I was a DSA member. And then his union endorsed. 😜

This morning I was talking to 2 Reps when lobbyist Kevin Campbell walked up. He spoke falsely about the #E2EE definition I wrote. I said it wasn't true, got called emotional. I was literally accused of "being too emotional" over encryption. Fine. Vote for me because I care so deeply about security.

Oregon is trying to legislate requiring #alpr vendors to use end-to-end encryption, but they took the definition of #e2ee out of the bill. How do you plan on enforcing that? Corporations have been trying for years to say that encryption at rest plus encryption in transit is the same as e2ee. Lies.
