I’m very excited to announce “Harbinger of Truth” will be available at midnight starting Nov. 16 (this Sunday!) on Amazon. This next book in the series is much darker than “No Safe Harbor,” with Shane confronted with some hard truths and tragedy that change his trajectory.

Counting down the days until the release of this next book in my PNW crime/suspense series! I have to warn readers, this next chapter gets pretty dark as Shane’s world collapse and the stakes get higher. But there are also some revelations about his past that heal some old wounds… 😉

It’s official! I’ll be kicking off the release of the next book in my Shane McPhearson series, “Harbinger of Truth,” at @citylightscinemas once again! I’m really looking forward to meeting and talking with fans of the series! See you all then!

I’m getting very excited about the release of the next book in my series on Nov. 15th. It never gets old… I mean, I’m getting older, but not the excitement of a new book release 😄

Waiting for Fox News to show footage of Saturday’s marathon in Portland, explaining how “people are seen here running for their lives in war-ravaged Portland. It’s so bad that residents are required to wear numbers so they can be identified…” 🙄

There are two types of people at the gym: 1) the person who sets the weights back to zero for the next person, and 2) the person who adds 40 pounds more than they were actually lifting before they leave the station. I’m betting Pete Hegseth is No. 2.

With Portland as the main setting for my next book coming out in November, I can promise you — though full of crime and suspense — it doesn’t portray this amazing town as a “hellish landscape.” 😉

In regard to the Trump admin’s effort to “make America safe again” by sending troops into more cities, Vance said yesterday: “Just let us in.” I’ve seen enough monster movies to know that’s how the vampire can get into your home.

Ironically, while the newly established Coalition of the Willing is being created by nations throughout Europe to defend democracy in Ukraine, the Coalition of the Unwilling continues to destroy democracy here within our nation’s capital.

As a writer, any place is a “work” space when you’re inspired 😉

When you wake up the morning of writing a pivotal point in your novel, channeling the dark side of your main character…

The news just reported on a “new diet pill” approved after a test on 3,000 people. Most saw a 12 percent loss in body fat. Side effects? Nausea, vomitting and diarrhea. I’m no scientist, but I think I have figured out the “weight-loss” component of this drug…

Had such a terrific time working with this group of middle-schoolers as part of a summer writing class. They learned the five points of a very basic outline for a one-page short story. Arranged for a reception at a local gallery where their stories are on display through August. So proud of them!

Sadly, after all this time, after all we knew back in 2016 and all we know now, the fact that “grab them by the pussy” wasn’t the end of it says more about us than it does about Donald Trump. And that’s what bothers me the most.

The expansion of ICE is not about immigration; it is about desensitization. As the imprisonment of people labeled a “threat” becomes more common, the criteria of being a “threat” will expand to the point that we find ourselves saying, “At least it’s not US.” Until there finally is no more U.S.
