Just got back from a nice morning bike ride now the temperature is a bit more sensible again. It did feel like the landscape was still recovering from the heat though as the wind was cool and refreshing, but you could feel the baked in heat still rising from the road surface.

Probably the vegetable peeler that I bought when I was at university. It is a very good vegetable peeler.

With hindsight, planning to make hot meals every evening this week may have been a mistake. 🥵

I was concerned about how hot my flat would be when I got home from the office, with me not being there to manage open/closing the windows and running fans. But I left the curtains drawn this morning and, at 23℃ indoors, it felt blissfully cool compared to the 31℃ outside.

Tuner was excellent. I thought they'd forgotten how to make film like this. A proper film. Engaging characters, a plot that kept me surprised, a touch of romance. What more could you ask? Certainly the best of the recent batch of films I've seen at the cinema.

I saw Backrooms at the Cinema tonight. I enjoyed it and it was a strange and eerie film. I did feel a bit like there were some interesting concepts but then it didn't know quite how to develop the story towards the end. Still I have been in offices that seem to go on like those backrooms.
