Crystal Crisis failed me bro. What do you mean Astro and Isaac were there and didn't have any deep meaningful conversations because they made Isaac a weird little crying bug. What do you mean Astro and Quote/Curly didn't have any major moments because the cutscenes were flat.

Biggest defender of Curly's Panties in Cave Story because the more you think about it... why DOES she need them? Why would a robot need them, modesty? Hygiene? Underwear is specifically a human need in most cases. It's a weirdly humanizing detail about her, even if it's not intended. I love that.

Love or hate Edmund's humor, I cannot stress how damn good / consistent his worldbuilding secretly is. It might be some of the best I've seen, specifically for being able to tie together some of his earliest 'cringiest' works with his current ones for a consistent world not afraid of 'old bad art'.

I think Mewgenics has a few balancing issues (both hard AND easy), but damn is the gameplay loop of trying to play with crazy broken combos while herding bad effects really fun. Did a run where one of my cats would go berserk if it gets a kill, but its DPS was so good that it ended battles on turn 1
