Had some students play Nibblets today! They enjoyed it!!!

Ok so I've definitely settled , 4 stages. Each one has a specific theme, goal and set of enemies. Clearing these stages unlock the turnip tower a 30 floor dungeon , where each floor adds a new restriction (similar to slay the spire). You can equip a badge to give you a bit of an edge). #gamedev

Working on the Jelly well. It's a slower based stage where all of the nibblits have a trait (bullet proof, cursor proof, moves when attacked, spawns in the middle) #gamedev #pixelart

Stage two takes place in a bar. Your Nobblets are drunk off turnip juice and wont stay in place. You'll have to plan your builds around this! #gamedev #pixelart

When you have 5 rounds left. The reaper Nibblit will spawn to try kill the turnip. This guy is invincible and can only be managed by attacking him repeatedly (Which resets his spawn position). #gamedev #pixelart

Improving the level up screen today. Added subtext underneath the item descriptions to show the specific increase in the stat you boost. Lucky for me the increases are always linear so I don't need to worry about the math too much hah! #gamedev

More sounds! Enemies that are immune to certain moves make a sharper sound when they're hovered over or shot! #gamedev #pixelart

Added a popping sound effect using @castpixel.bsky.social 's ANIMEVOX tool! :)). I need t figure out a cleaner solution for when tankier enemies get hit with a big bullet though lol. #gamedev #pixelart.

Bibidi Bibidi! The Afflicted Apprentice update adds our first new playable character: Oppipi. He's a little guy with a single spellslot, which dramatically changes gameplay. We also added 30+ cards & sigils & a handful of quests and encounters. #deckbuilder #roguelike #bibidi

Some mid stage Nibblits gameplay. You may have noticed that the cursor auto clicks now. It's a lost more easy on the wrists! I need to fine tune the spawn rates a little more however as it gets really tough. #gamedev #pixelart

Changed combat from swiping to Auto clicking. Need to rebalance the enemy stats again now. aaaaaaaaa

I made a lot of progress on Nibblits today! Tomorrow I'll be adding the fonts and effects of the perks that you can get from the Level up Screen. I'll probably be doing a lot more stuff regarding the Nobblet Mages (Summons too) #gamedev #pixelart
