Done some visual updates to hyper ball recently. Little shapes fade in and out in random patterns on the grid now. I still need to communicate when you go up a level more clearly. Communication with the player still seems to be the biggest issue with this game so far. #gamedev #pixelart

Current enemy distribution in Hyper ball so far. I feel like.. I'm missing something. Like at least two potential enemies. I was thinking of one that teleports you to a random tile but that ruins the flow way too much.

Every 10 levels. your next ball to pop is a fruit. They'll give you a big score boost and it's also a mark of your achievement haha! #gamedev #pixelart

The original player character was going to be a ninja, slashing other ninjas , but I felt like a ball and spike would convey what I wanted to show better.

Hyper ball now has 100% more Hyper Juice in it. There's still some things that need to be communicated better (like the player getting a shield when you go up a stage) and other things. #gamedev #pixelart

Hyper ball! You play as a small spiky dude , that jumps between nodes to pop ball shaped monsters. The directional buttons always take you to the corresponding node , but the trajectory of your travel changes based on what node you jump from. #gamedev #pixelart

A doodle for a simpler version of the game. The runes on the board boost your stats / give you items At a HP cost. Swords: Boost attack , Shield, protects you from the next damage instance, potion, gives you a healing potion (you can store 3) , stars = direct boss damage. #gamedev #pixelart

Really quick MS paint edit. But. Rather than having a separate cultist mode for boosting base stats, I can just use the top of the screen to add charms that the player gets (Which can resemble mini cultists lol). I WILL USE THE ENTIRE SCREEN AND YOU WILL LIKE IT! #gamedev #pixelart

I also think generation 3.5 ( XD gale of darkness, collusieum , LG FR , EMERALD, mystery dungeon Red and blue) Was actually one of the best times to be a Pokemon fan. It was nice how new pokemon were being drip fed into the franchise and felt mysterious at the same time.

Hot take: Pokemon needs a reboot and has to be able to piss off the fan base a little in order to move forward properly. Or at least a side series with a smaller roster (similar to legends) that allows them to experiment or something;
