When we talk about great really short articles, we hear about Gettier's "I justified true belief knowledge?", Evans' "can there be vague objects?", Anscombe's "A note on mr Bennett." Not enough credit goes to Salmon's "The fact that x = y". If you haven't read it, do it. It's very short.
