After waiting for a smaller apartment to become available, the one across the hall will be mine. Easy move! But the very best news of all is that the lady who is moving out is leaving me the best Christmas present: Abigail (Abby) is a sweet and quiet short-haired fawn colored, 5 year old cat!

One of the many places the “Lady Mice” appear at Christmas along with a little doll my mother had as a child. The clock is a treasure and Dad faithfully keeps it running.

Family advent calendar. It used to have homemade ornaments on it but over the years they fell apart. Still, that calendar coming out is such a huge part of Christmas and, of course, Advent.

Update! I may have pushed the last bit of paperwork through the greedy government machine today. Now I’ll see what, if anything gets kicked back & wait for the interviews. Interestingly, they have added the “Proof of Citizenship” to everything! I had to scan in my birth certificate!
