I played a one-shot with the local adventurers guild titled “Christmas in Camelot” using the Monty Python system. On a mission from God we proceeded to animate the skeleton of Saint Nicholas (to help him), built a midsized army of zombies named Jeff to pull the sleigh, and created Krampus.

What meta roles do y'all have at your table? (Or, maybe, should/ could have at your table.) I mean things like Chronicler (someone who takes notes), Cartographer (someone who keeps and expands the map), and Quartermaster (the one who tracks loot).

We’re running two independent longer playtests of ***Arium: Evolve***! Ask me how it’s going. Go on! Ok, I’ll tell you anyway! It’s going absolutely fabulous! I love playtesting, adjusting, and finding all the rough edges and smoothing them. It might be my favorite part of game design.

Creating things is so satisfying, and rules fit together like puzzle pieces (...eventually, hopefully). And then running a game is like building a sandcastle and inviting your friends to run through it, watching the glee on their faces as they do.
