drawing been a bit slow and back at uni now x3 but today I played with volumes a bit, silly quick and cute >w<

So last week I've been learning more about shadows, things like ambient occlusion, edges, bounce light and I've been wanting to draw more painterly and using less cell shading and more soft shading, sort of implying the volumes without that many lines, I've uh... used the airbrush tool ... 1/2

Finished colouring the sketch, I spent a lot of time on this and even checked out a tutorial (you can check the link in alt tag) for the the water ripples. I love it how it turned out! I think this might be the prettiest thing I've drawn so far 🥹

So I found this literal gem of a game called SuchArt and I am obsessed! It's literally a game about making paintings and it's such a vibe, love it so much

Getting rather close to an full year since I started learning to draw. Decided to show some from the hundreds of sketches and images that I made at various points of the journey (pain xD). And wow some are just ... wow. My inner demons casually jump scared me XD. Future me, this is where we started.

Got some micron fineliners in the mail today and decided to try and ink the sketch I used to make my current pfp. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I haven't inked anything since high school art class
