This morning thereâs snow everywhere. ââ As if we knew what the other was feeling. We donât, of course. We never do. No matter. Itâs the tenderness I care about. -Raymond Carver, from "The Gift"

All definitions of emptiness are inverse. I cannot say what it is, I can only say what it is not. I cannot describe its essence, I can describe only its effects. Although emptiness is nothing, not even a space, it produces spaces. Manner: Chromatic Levels

On the 7th day we rest our hands and read our books. I don't know what it is about Graham's poetry. Can only ever read a few lines and need to let them sink in. To think about them, to understand their strength and to get to know the insight.
