"Are there guidelines for word length, content to avoid, etc?" - Wordcount max is 2500 words, depending on your piece. For content, we're keeping it at in-game levels of swearing/lewdness but most anything else is negotiable (besides bigoted content obviously).

"Will I need to submit a separate artist application for a combined text/writing piece" - Just submit to whichever form best fits your piece, no worries! It's all going the same place.

"What is alternative media?" - Anything that is not 2D digital art. Music, video, knitting, cross stitch, woodcarving, sculpture, recipes, engraving, all of these and more qualify. As long as you can photograph or link to it, we can find a way to put it in our zine!

"if there is a discord to bounce around ideas for the creators, that would be cool " Yes, there will be a shared zine Discord! Also, we are happy to talk through ideas if anyone's having struggles with theirs during the course of the project, as we did in Broken Chians.

'Will [there] be a check list of areas we would like to see included in the zine so we can ensure every part of Norvandt gets a feature if possible' - No checklist, but we'll be discussing the spread with contributors. Just looking at our interest check, so far every area has supporters!

"I would love to know the rating of the zine if possible" - The zine will be SFW, though depending on pitches contributors may address dark topics where relevant. We encourage your app to contain samples relating to the tone you want your zine piece to have!

"Is Amaurot also included in this? I am just a little unsure since it is technically not an original First city but takes place there." - As long as they fit in the 'ephemera' category. So we'll accept Amaurot pitches, but only ones from the perspective of those already living on the First.
