#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 38 - Scarecrows (1988) Eating sugar. Throwing cold water on my face. Repeatedly slapping myself in the face. These are some things i did to try to stay awake during this aggressively boring ass nothing. I fell asleep twice just writing this. Pure fucking torture.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 37 - Shriek Of The Mutilated (1974) A Michael Findlay Yetisploitation film. Funny suit, otherwise not a lot going on here. Most overconfident use of Dies Irae i've seen. Thankfully, everyone’s clothes stay on.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 35 - The Night Brings Charlie (1990) A great example of making something out of nothing. A bizarre mix of unusable esthetics that weirdly combine to make a shot on video direct-to-VHS miracle.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 34 - VHS: Halloween (2025) What a “pleasant” surprise! Could be the best VHS yet! Definitely the most brutal.

This new Dying Light is an unplayable glitchfest. Save your money.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 33 - The First Omen (2025) Awful and dumb. I tried to watch this last year but couldn’t get through it. The current fuckfest of church and state is enough religious horror for me. The last line could be the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard in a movie.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 32 - Octaman (1971) A big rubber suit, an RV and a few flashlights. I appreciate a cheap horror movie that knows what it is and even though It’s mostly walking around in poorly lit woods, they sorta made the big rubber monster a sympathetic character, so that’s nice.

Again, stormtroopers are the bad guys.

Keep in mind, im an awful grump who thinks Longlegs and Sinners were some of the worst shit ever

They are rarely recs! Although, like pizza, one thinks there’s no such thing as a bad horror movie, but i can think of plenty of inedible pizza and there’s already a couple films from this year that i truly feel guilty for having wasted my time on.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 31 - Fright House (1989) Even Al Lewis can't save this (even though he's still great in it). The lead has this perpetually confused look when he's not having gross makeout scenes.

I feel that i am too emotionally invested on whether Shane Black’s new Parker film is going to be good. If Mark E. Mark (he’s been good at sociopaths in the past) fucks it up, they can always Man With The Getaway Face the next one.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 25 - A Quiet Place: Day One (2024) Had zero expectations, as i remember the last one being a stinkeroo, but it was great. Lupita Nyong'o is like a heat seaking missile to whatever role i’ve seen her in. Always great whether i like the film or not (like yesterday’s).

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 23 - Blödaren aka The Bleeder (1983) What a fucking can of worms this thing is! So much more entertaining than you’d expect a Swedish “slasher” filmed with what seems to be a single camcorder.

Here’s something weird. I noticed on my apple news scrolling that since the day they suspended Kimmel, the feed was only news about white folks (other than sports). For days. Even showed the wife, “this is weird, right?” They announced his return and it’s “normal” again. Even this morning it wasn’t.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 22 - Dangerous Animals (2025) It’s my own fault. I was like, “this can’t be as bad as it looks”, and for a minute there it wasn’t. But then it was, and then it wasn’t, but of course it was again until i figured that if i got that far i should just finish it.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 21 - The Dismembered (1962) Awful and pointless as this is, it helps illustrate the point that Ed Wood, using a similar lack of support, could make something with heart and fun, while shit like this, that peaks at the title sequence, has no redeeming social value.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween25 Day 20 - BONUS Foes (1977) (Director’s Cut) He did get rid of the military stuff and it is better. I also rewatched the theatrical with commentary from the writer/director/actor. That guy was in NO hurry.

Violence only makes everything worse. Be as kind as you wish everyone else was. Anyone can change. There is next to no possible easy answer to any real problem. The only argument that shooting someone answers is to wether or not there should be gun control. Love is cool and fun. Would recommend
