A packed house for Snow Patrolâs Gary Lightbody discussing his book The Forest To the Path. A book about grief and his fatherâs death, it detours through loneliness & creativity; unsaid questions and conversations. Made me think of: âGive people their flowers nowâ, instead of waiting for eulogies.

The Velveteen Rabbit opens today. Woke up feeling like it was Christmas morning. I know itâs probably not always like this but writing for theatre has been one of the least stressful, most fun experiences Iâve ever had as a writer. So excited to see everyone on stage tonight.

This looks interesting - a name from my school days, MartĂn Ă DireĂĄin. I learned about him as a poet but Spring Seaweed includes his essays. Translated by MicheĂĄl Ă hAodh, who seems to be at the heart of many efforts to ignite interest in Irish language authors.
