Maybe after the fiscal year starts, some Departments will have new supervisor positions to fill. I don't really WANT to go elsewhere, but when my 20+ years of work are rewarded by being ghosted after not passing screening or being passed up for promotions by people with 20% of my experience...

Well, I didn't even make it past the screening process for that last promotion application. Whatever it is that this Department wants, I don't seem to have it.

Long work day, but I completed a fairly important cornerstone task a day ahead of my self-imposed deadline so tomorrow I can do other stuff at my own pace. Yay?

Well, I'm very blah today but I did manage to reorganize/restock my insect collecting field backpack and clean up the car a bit, so I guess that's a win?

Oh well, at least I collected 2 or 3 new insect species in the backyard today/tonight; that makes 460 so far. Wonder if I'll hit 500 at some point.
