Thanks for all the kind words about Sam. She was my favourite person and I know she brought joy to many of you. I am going through old videos. She never got the hang of fetch. That may have been my fault

I said goodbye to my best friend of 15 years today. I hope she knew how much she was loved and that she’s not in pain anymore. Good girl Sam. The best girl 💔🌈

Dog walk report. -12 at about 5:30 this morning. Still walking. Though we rarely make it more than a block or two. Following Sam’s lead on everything. She still seems to enjoy a nose-about ❤️🐕

Haven’t posted in a bit because Sam isn’t well. She’s been declining for awhile and we’re facing some tough decisions so I am just hanging out with my best friend, giving her lots of love and hoping I make the right ones 💔

Dog walk report. Mostly clear and -10 at 5:30 this morning. Sam is not feeling great so she’s taking some time to decide if she’s up for a walk. Seems she has a short one in mind 🐕❤️

Dog walk report. -16 at about 5:30 this morning. No real wind - so that helps. Sam had me up for a bathroom break at 4, so I thought we might get a sleep-in. Nope. Happy Sunday ❤️🐕

After work walk. -11. Sam is more willing than she was this morning. Season’s greetings snowman remains - which we love ❤️ 🐕

Dog walk report. -11 at about 5:30 this morning. The plow has been by. Heads up neighbours - lump of snow to be dealt with at the end of the driveway. A bit breezy. Sam is changing the route ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. New snow! -9 just before 5 this morning. The plow woke us, so we’re exploring. It’s pretty, sparkly snow. Not too wet. Quite beautiful really ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. Chilly at -10 this morning, but no wind. I didn’t realize how much it had cooled off or I would have wrestled Sam into her coat. We’ll keep it short ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. +3 and cloudy just before 6 this morning. Much of the snow and ice is gone. No rain. Sam seems pleased to resume her routine neighbourhood inspection ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. Apparently hold the phone sideways. 3 degrees and raining at 6:30 this morning. The driveway is wet ice and Sam takes a hard pass ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. +2 C just past 5 this morning. Glad to have icers on my boots, though they change the sound of walking in snow. Sam is moving well 🐕❤️

Dog walk report. 5:00 on a Sunday morning, and apparently it’s time to get up. -2 degrees and snow ❄️ is just beginning to fall. Perhaps it will replace much of what we lost ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. 4 degrees with really gusty winds. We lost a lot of snow overnight. We almost didn’t get past the driveway - wet ice. So slippery

Dog walk report. -3 and cloudy. It’s a bit slick after yesterday’s melt and overnight freeze. Sam is finding lots of news 🗞️ ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. Hovering around the freezing point just before 6 this morning. Some very light snow. Despite yesterday’s freezing rain, it’s less icy for walking. Sam is pleased ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. The app says -3 just before 6 this morning. So far just a few drops - but I ran into a neighbour who says those drops are freezing when they hit the windshield. A messy day on the way ❤️🐕

Dog walk report. -17 just before 5 this morning. Not sleeping, so why not walk? I forgot Sam’s coat, so we kept it short. Sidewalks are still icy. No fashion footwear folks. Grip is key ❤️🐕
