Hope I’ll be back more regularly. I’d just spread myself too thin and my health problems made it difficult to do more than one SM site at a time. Just got home from a successful book signing/book launch for my latest, In the Cavern of Ancient Malice. Pictures will follow soon.

I’m still here. Lots of health issues making life difficult, but I’m still writing. I have a book launch at The Twig Bookshop in May, and I’m trying to get the book completed before then. This will be the sequel to The City That Disappeared called In the Cavern of Ancient Malice. 😊

I’ll get back to following back and posting soon. Just having some health issues that are very distracting and scary. Sorry for delaying, folks. I appreciate you!

Hope everyone is doing well. I took a sort of break from SM. Scaled back to mostly 2 sites due to family and health issues. I’m not gone, just dealing with stuff.

I’m so sleepy. I can hardly stay awake. I haven’t been on SM in a while (or not much anyway) but that’s why. I’m just sleeping constantly.

I am in so much pain. How dare I think I could do 2 loads of laundry in one day! Thank goodness for grocery delivery or I would starve. Chronic pain sucks!!

Hey, everyone. I’ve been taking time away. I think I needed it for several reasons, but I’ve also had technical difficulties today. Hope you are all well, good people.

Took a social media break for health reasons. I’m better today. Didn’t take the medication from hell my neurologist prescribed, and I finally got some sleep. Won’t take it again. Hope everyone is well.

Ugh. Cannot write during the day unless it’s early morning. I have all day to do this, but my brain just won’t cooperate. 🙄

Sometimes I look up, and I expect my dog to be there, and my heart just breaks all over again. Miss my Sophie girl. 💔

Eye exam is next up. Should go better than the neurologist. Then I will (hopefully) have fewer typos. And I can turn the text on my phone back to normal size.

Ugh. Neurologist was just more of the same. Didn’t listen. Prescribed a medication I’ve already tried before. What a waste of time.

Appointment #1 is done. My healthcare payment plan has been extended to August. Next up: neurology. Fingers crossed this doctor has something new to try that isn’t an injection.

Still feeling bad. Sorry if I’ve been missing stuff, but I can hardly stay awake. Hoping there’s some relief after tomorrow, but I’ve had 3 different neurologists say they didn’t know what to do for me. Not optimistic.

I’ve had a massive headache all day. Could barely move. It’s a *little* better now, but I guess it’s a good thing I see the neurologist tomorrow.

It was supposed to be clear skies for the annular eclipse. It was cloudy just long enough to cover the sun during most of the eclipse, then cleared up again. So I guess I didn’t miss much. Glasses didn’t come in time, but we’ll be ready for the total eclipse in April!

Finished revisions earlier and sent the MS to alpha readers! Fingers crossed!!! I also started writing a short story while I wait for word on the first one.

You can literally never go wrong giving me a blank soft sided journal. I can never have too many.

I’m so sleepy. The fan is nice and really quiet. Small bladeless tower fan.

FedEx says my package was delivered 40 minutes ago. Walmart says it’s still out for delivery. Where’s my fan??? It’s hot in here!!

Finally have an appointment for an eye exam. Hopefully, the headaches will go away when I have the new glasses.

My phone now has bold text and enlarged text. I can read it, sort-of. Really need new glasses.

I have a headache, and then my tablet, for some inexplicable reason, didn’t save all the changes I made to my manuscript. I’m so upset. I lost 11 days of work. Head hurts even more now. #author #scifi

Great. My fan died. Not quite cool enough here to go without one yet. The new one gets here Thursday.

Almost finished with my second pass through this old manuscript. Liking it a lot. Not sure what I’ll do with it yet, but I may query it. Hope I’ll have better luck this time around.

Ugh. I didn’t even take my new medication today (took it yesterday) and I’m still feeling ill. Sent a message to my doctor again, but will just stop taking this for now. For some reason, my body can’t tolerate it. Bleh! Sharp abdominal pain and heartburn. Ouch!!!

It’s actually nice today, other than the gloomy skies. But it’s actually not hot, like 80s and below. Will be upper 70s for the high tomorrow. Of course, it will be back to 90 next week, but I’ll enjoy this while it lasts.

My printer is here!! Much easier to install than the old one and prints super fast!!

Fun day. Grocery store earlier. And now we’re trying to get years of cooked on grease off the stove because no one cleaned it before I moved in. Bleh!

Not a very productive day. Just lay in bed reading and sleeping. Not sure I can take this medication. Not happy.

I will not miss 2023. It was a horrible year for me. But then 2022 wasn’t too great either. Going to do my best with the rest of the year, but I really hope 2924 is my year.

Revisions are moving along, but I realize I’ll need at least one more pass. Then, hopefully, this manuscript will see the light of day. I love the story. I hope you will, too.

Omg my Bryan Ferry tshirt fits again! It’s been years since I could wear it. When I was weighed at the doctor, there was no change in my weight, so that’s weird. But maybe next time. Might be losing some fat though, which wouldn’t be a total loss.

Ugh. Why do I agonize over what to post, what to write on my blog, what to write about in my newsletter, etc.? It’s not like I have a ton of subscribers yet. Pressure’s off. lol
