Practicing using markers because turns out I love them. Skin tones will ofc be the hardest thing. Anyway whenever I play Nightreign my friends ask if Im going to see my wives because I Love the Balancers and fight them for fun and pretty ladies. (I love then even when they turn into a worm.)

My absolute favorite references! Highly recommend

I scanned the sketch, tinted it to sepia tones in photoshop, printed it out on watercolor paper at a slightly larger size (12x16), and got the initial washes of color down. I did color tests in photoshop so I knew how to approach the tones. This is about an hour's worth of painting so far, I think?
