The Mighty Black Walnut, 2/23/2026 Digital Painting Many of the houses in my neighborhood were built in 1906 on what was once farmland. The farm’s orchards produced apples, cherries, and black walnuts. Many of the remaining walnut trees are still standing - large, majestic, and full of history.

Do you ever think about what you just cannot do to understand what you are good at? I believe in getting uncomfortable & pushing to do new things but not always. Seems good to observe where there’s a bottleneck, where inspiration is lost. Then go where it flows instead.
