Hope you all had a good New Years! Here's the Shadow Cell on CD by @pizzahotline.bsky.social and @shirobon.bsky.social . I honestly picked this up largely because "Mei Ling" is on here and I absolutely -love- that track, but the presentation with the art and black PS1 style disc just makes it 👌

My favorite VGM-inspired track for the year definitely has to be “Mei Ling”, a fantastic collaboration between @pizzahotline.bsky.social X @shirobon.bsky.social. The conversation between Mei Ling and Snake fully captures that indescribable feeling of reliving memories with retro games.

This! Although I am still very active, music always presents new challenges for me.. It now takes me between 6 months and 2 years to write an album.. so seeing Sabrepulse crank out 3 AI albums in a month and charging fans full price really doesn't sit right with me.

I have no idea why.. but Sabrepulse just added another song to that album with possibly the most Suno AI vocal I've ever heard.. After hearing this I have no shadow of a doubt that he used AI to create this album.

Really disappointing to see Sabrepulse using AI to create their latest albums. His statement says otherwise.. but I typed "Math Rock Chiptune" into Suno AI and the results sound the same to me.. especially the drums and leads sound identical.
