No amount of accessibility features in a video game will satisfying some gamers because no matter what you call them —Difficulty, modifiers, customization — they will perceive some indignity in using them.

I think what's interesting about a game like Mina the Hollower, with so many assist toggles and so many tools that affect player expression, is that criticisms very quickly become "I think the devs set the default settings incorrectly."

I'm seeing so many people complain that the hammer is the worst weapon. The hammer owns actually, you're just using it wrong. This is beast crest all over again.

hey Nina the Hollower is kinda hard. In a mean way. This area I found is reaching Ninja Gaiden 1 levels of enemies deliberately placed to push you off precarious platforms.

Had to actually read the manual because I did not realize you could burrow in water since it hurts you like a bottomless pit if you just walk into it. Weird interaction but okay.

Chip cheezum describing a Kingdom Hearts 1 boss as being from a game that plays better basically applies to every late game boss in KH2. That's where I check out. I don't like having to fight both the boss and the controls.

Also, I don't understand why Kingdom Hearts gives you so many abilities that extend your combo or make it do more hits and then makes every boss punish your for daring to hit them more than the arbitrarily defined allowed number before they instantly retaliate with something undodgeable.

Tried the org XIII data fights in Kingdom Hearts II again and I just don't care. The MO to make a fight "harder" in this game seems to be giving the bosses some uninterruptible 30s attack string that requires 6 frame perfect dodges before you're allowed to nibble 1/4 of one of their 12 HP bars.

Square should collab with Capcom to remake Dirge of Cerberus. Dirge of Cerberus was a bad video game mostly because the gameplay was very poorly designed and implemented. Yes the story was very stupid, but it's the correct kind of stupid for a devil may cry style game. You know I'm right.
