Here's a few highlights from how we celebrated International Dark Sky Week in Otago. It all started at the Vulcan pub in St Bathan's where, between pints, the local community association gave their support to the Winterstellar Astro Site program to get recognition of their perfect dark skies.

Top Tips for Photographers. When taking long exposure tripod shots, set a 2 second delay so the action of pressing the trigger doesn't shake the shot. Also Top Tip. Take off the two second delay before crawling to cliff edge in 120kph winds to take storm shots.
