This morning, the allure of my bed was stronger than my plans to get up early to go to the library. So I am staying home today. I've sent two emails so far (one more to go), now I'm going to read. (And maybe I'll write later because I got an art prompt that might be better examined in fic form.)

I really did not want to go out of the house today but I‘m on the bus. Doesn‘t matter if I don‘t get much done. Maybe I‘ll reread books, maybe I‘ll write fanfic if the brain is not cooperating. (I also have to write an email.)

I called it a day at around half past 3 because I was tired and had reached my wordcount and reading goal. It was still 6 hours at the library and I added the weight of two more books to my pile. (I am not looking forward to more dense literary theory. Makes me feel stupid.)

Even though I'm struggling through my reading where I often feel the years of rust clinging to my intellectual machinery, there are moments of amusement. Currently, I'm reading articles on fanfic and when they discuss specific fics and bring up cheeky or hilarious lines I feel joy X3 I ❤️fanfic

I was in the library, at my laptop, for 7 hours but I barely got anywhere. How is that possible! X'D Anyway, it's time to drink tea and look at fandom things. I'm not sure if I have the brain power to draw anything, but I might still have some doodles I haven't posted on here.

Therapy and then lunch time. I‘ve been at the library for 3 hours and I don‘t think I‘ve written anything but notes (and the draft of one email) yet. No actual dissertation writing, so I hope to reach my 500 word goal in the afternoon.

Oh no, it is Tuesday. Hopefully today I do more than 4 hours of uni work.

Alright, I'm home (I spent a lot longer hanging out with my sister than I planned). I have tea, I have something that calls itself a brownie but I don't what it is and now it's time to finish reading this article before I can do fandom silliness!

I wrote 900 words this morning but then I went to lunch with my sister and now I‘m tired from all the food and will probably head home X‘D Horrible. I will report back once I‘m home so you can tell me to go back to reading through my pile of articles!

Why is it Monday… back to university work… emails… headache… but first and hour commute so I can check up on social media and rotate fanfic scenarios in my head.

Sunday night panic: I wanted to send my prof something to read this week but I didn't get it done. Also she asked if I wanted to present at a congress and a colloquium and I'm panicking. Can I make enough progress in the next two months for that considering how slow I've been this month? Aaah.

I was thinking about Devil Fruit accidents in the bedroom. The doctors of the OP world must see some insane things - from inappropriate uses of Devil Fruits to people losing control over their powers. And someone with magma powers might run a bit hot... Sorry Kite.

Aaaah. I'm sitting so comfortably, so lazily, listening to music, browsing tumblr... Do I really have to go grab my laptop and work on my PhD some more? *whines*

I‘m very tired and my back aches so much from sitting in that chair it’s getting hard to focus. Time to take a break to drink tea and eat a cookie! Two more articles to read. We‘ll see if I can manage both here (it is almost 3 PM) or if I‘ll finish up at home.

Lunch time update. I wrote my 500 words but I have three more articles I want to read today. Focus might be hard though because of some unexpected RL things. I‘ll try to work through the articles because, there’s not much I can do to help the RL situation.

On my way to the library again. Today‘s goals are to work through one book and write 500 words. Very slowly chipping away at this task… (though I‘d rather sleep some more.)

I‘m on the way home. I added about 800 words to my dissertation (rough draft of course) so I met my wordcount goal but I hardly got through any research X3 I‘ll finish rereading an article at home while drinking a cup of tea.

I‘m on my way to the university library. I‘m setting myself a modest goal of writing 500 words. It’s not much but I’ll probably spent most of my time rereading research and taking notes and not actually writing. I‘m sitting in the train and am almost falling asleep so good luck to me >w<

Today was another not productive day. I did another edit of my introduction and technically it's not even 5 PM, I can still work (and maybe I will) but right now I'm so tired. I don't know what's going on >:C Well, I'll be at the library all day tomorrow, maybe that'll help me focus.

I sat down to work on my PhD, opened the laptop and tumblr was open on screen. And just like that my resolve to work/ focus is already gone and I've answered asks instead X'D I am so easy to distract. No discipline. And now it's almost time to make lunch. I'll try again after lunch >w<;;;
