I was sorely tempted to write "a stupid little book for my stupid mental health," but the book really is lovely, and I'd feel bad calling it stupid, even in jest (so I did it here instead). That said, this novella really is a pleasant way to disconnect from the world for a little bit.

Low, but not zero, and only in a fight. Toini doesn't believe in honourable combat or in fighting fair, and if biting is what it takes, she'll do it.

The original title for the Lost Dogs series was "Werewolves On A Train," because that's what I envisioned it would be about. I ended up using the title for Book #9 in the series instead. #MemeMay

I didn't actually know Tru was planning a spotlight on Spider Island, but the review was ready to go, so I figured today was the day to post it.

I touched upon this over the weekend. Toini, my MC, believes dreams are a way for her subconscious to process thoughts and impressions she's not dealt with during her waking hours. Others may believe any number of things about dreams. Me: I haven't thought much about it.
