Here’s the real issue with @fccincinnati.com right now — It took going down 1-0 for the team to show any kind of teeth in the attack. This team is going on 8 months with no offensive identity. It’s passive and lethargic football absent 5-10 minute stretches of desperation attacks. I don’t get it.

Poor passing, yes. Turnovers, yes. I’m mostly concerned about the stagnation on offense. Very little decisiveness and slow movement lets the defense set. We don’t create easy scoring opportunities. $30M+ in attack spend isn’t producing nearly enough results.

I'm having a tough time contextualizing last night's FCC loss. They got absolutely abused by a team that should still be adjusting to a new coach and new system. The FC looked unprepared to play, sloppy their execution, and nothing like a top-side MLS team. What's the real FC? I don't know now.

The point that consistently gets left out in these articles is that no one other than Apple was offering real money for the MLS TV deal. The article points out that Amazon or Peacock would've been a better fit. Cool. Was Amazon bidding? Was Peacock? MLS took the deal that was there.
