I finally clued in to why I have a tendency to get so sucked into instagram if I go there ... there's no doom and gloom there. So basically, it's not "doom scrolling". Of course like any platform, it helps to follow good accounts so a lot of art, nature and music over there.

The thing I was not expecting about AI, although really should have, is how much psychological stuff was programmed in. That sort of thing has been going on for a long time though. Just look at other algorithms...they're designed to keep people using whatever it is.
