Replayed through Metroid Fusion again in one night. Shaved 40 minutes off from my first playthrough. I wish I liked this game as much as super cause I love the story but alas, the world just doesn't come together as well in this one. Still kino though.

Kraid > Ridley. Doesn't get shoved into games necessarily. His lair's theme in Metroid 1/Zero Mission is way more iconic that Ridley's lair theme in Super and his skinny arms are adorable.

Beat Super Metroid for the 2nd time tonight, first run was around 6ish hours I think. Game is more linear than I remember it being aside from a few sequence breaks you can do here and there. Still the platonic ideal for this kinda game.

I think if you are gonna have a game soundtrack that uses the main theme as a motif a lot, I like how Fire Emblem Fates uses it like The Lick rather than making every song a variation of it.

Y'know it's funny how like most big snes games are kinda overrated depending on who you ask just due to millennial nostalgia and them hyping up their games a lot but Super Metroid is THE game where it is like actually as good as people say it is.
