My sole criticism of Frankenstein is that there's no way collodion glass plate negatives would have survived an explosion and several months of elemental exposure

After a few hours of hiding in her carrier, Juno has progressed to trying to escape the new spare room. This stage took a few days when we first got her so she's being very brave.

So I'm gonna be honest. I'm in a bit of trouble. I asked my family for help and turns out, we're in a really tight spot. As I have state, I am DESPERATELY looking for work.

In our new flat we have exclusive use of the front and back garden and my colleague pointed out to my utter delight that it means that next Halloween we can decorate for trick or treaters 💖

This is my first ever copy of Dracula, dog-eared and perfect. My great-grandad saved up coupons from the Daily Mail to get me all the books in The Children's Golden Library. She may not be pretty, but she's special.

It's 11pm and it's just hit me that moving out of my art room means I'm not a real artist any more, I didn't make it, I didn't make anything that mattered, the dream is dead and now the room is too

I keep all my old sketchbooks and notebooks, but whereas I keep all my old sketchbooks because they hold significant emotional value and I enjoy looking through them, I keep all my notebooks because I'm terrified of any other living soul ever reading a single word of them

I think it's starting to hit me now that we're leaving. This is it. So much has happened in this house and in less than two weeks we will just be...gone. Somewhere else. This space won't be ours. Trying not to let that gut me too much. The new place is lovely. We will have adventures there too.

Morrighan, why are you packing a rock? This is my favourite texture rock. It has ✨texture✨. Whenever I want ✨texture✨ in my graphite, I press my putty rubber into this rock and then dab it over the graphite. It leaves lovely stippled ✨texture✨.

Good news; we went to see a flat on Wednesday, applied yesterday, and got offered it today! We're moving!* *We get the keys in less than two weeks so if you hear distant screaming it is me once again packing my life into boxes in a stupid amount of time

Been a wonky year this year, emotionally, health wise, work wise & financially so it’s lovely to see that I’ve had a couple of lovely people purchasing prints of this, feels like I’m getting back on my feet. Getting more prints in soon. Visit

We found out on Tuesday that we're getting evicted so if I'm quiet for a while it's because we're now flat hunting. It sucks but we're trying to make the best of it.

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

I am slowly starting to realise that sleeping 10+ hours and then needing a 3+ hour nap and still feeling completely exhausted whenever you're not on stimulants is not a normal experience and I may, in fact, have a sleep disorder.
