Home for my mom’s bday and Mother’s Day: happy to get cuddles from Jorma! My mom sent me this cool map of Manhattan and the origins of many of the city’s neighborhoods. And then I’m trying to convince my mom to sign up for this cool course on women in late medieval England. I’ll def try to glom on!

Today was a good spring day and my garden’s blooming! My crafty heart embroidery kits also arrived! I’ve always wanted to learn goldwork, so very excited. Spent this past week attending the World’s Figure Skating Championships! Saw a quad axel live! It was such a cool experience. I hope one day I can go to the Olympics to watch and cheer!

Started making my HOTS freebies last night! I’m making keychains that will have embroidered discs at the end!

I cant believe I started embroidering in 2019 and I’m still creating, learning, & hopefully, improving. After feeling burned out in 2023, I took a step back to keep a steady but not crazy pace. And so I didn’t embroider as many in 2024, but the ones I did, I love and am proud of!

At long last going to see the musical Six this afternoon!!! Had to wear my Anne Boleyn earrings that I bought last spring at Hever Castle, where Anne grew up.

Went in for my IUD today and walked out without one…that was an interesting experience. Felt taken care of the whole time, but they didn’t have the right tool to continue. Sigh.
