I spent two days deep-cleaning my kitchen.

They let me pull about four feet of daikon radish out of the school garden this year. For scale, that's full pages of newspaper they're wrapped diagonally in. I know what I am eating this winter.

Trump came to Japan and exactly one of my students made the connection between my name and the first name of the president, and asked me about it... and I was so embarrassed. Absolutely mortified.
