Had a weird experience flying out of Windsor (YQG) - went through security screening and mom realized she didn’t have her passport and boarding pass. She checked her pockets and purse and figured she’d left them in the x-ray machine tray, but when she went back they weren’t there. (1/4)

Amtrak lounge isn’t letting us buy access until 3 hours before train departure. Not much point in that really. #Amtrak

On the way back to Union Station. Hotel was adequate. Rebooked tickets so we will get home 15 hours late rather than 24 hours. #Amtrak

On the shuttle bus to the hotel. I rebooked us on an earlier train so that we won’t be arriving at 9 am Friday. #Amtrak

In Chicago an hour after my connecting train left. Lots of people in the same boat. Nobody at the customer service desk. #Amtrak

Word from conductor: all connections will be missed. We will talk to customer service in Union Station and will likely be in a hotel tonight. #Amtrak
