Off to meet mum for a walk and Sunday lunch out. The actual sun is actually shining at the moment so fingers crossed it stays that way at least for this morning! ☀️ (more torrential rain due later)

I’ve done hardly anything today, apart from make hummus. I needed the rest though so that’s ok. Tried those Stocked frozen meals for tea, pretty good, all fresh ingredients, good healthy option to have in for lazy evenings. 👍🏼

I very much wanted to order something spicy with chips tonight, but have heroically talked myself down and put together a random salad of lentils (from an M&S salad pot), tomatoes, mozzarella and my homemade hummus. 😇

I’ve been awake since 4am so I’m allowed to go to bed now 😴

Pestering for cheese

One benefit of giving the cats a tiny treat when I get home from work or finish work, is that if I am still at my desk at home much beyond 5pm - they come and get me 🤣🥰 They believe in work life balance. And snacks. I love them to absolute bits ♥️

A leftover portion of butter beans and leek stir fry for dinner, with some whole grain rice. Followed by baked bananas with flaked almonds and Greek yoghurt.

Sumac chicken with shallots and pine nuts, tabbouleh, and leeks in butter. 😋

Anyway, I started an LOTR rewatch a few weeks ago but stopped just before Helm’s Deep, so this afternoon I will watch the rest. Feet up, snacks, cuppa.

Just had a panic and thought I’d left my phone at Tesco’s, then found it in my pocket.

Fridge full of food and couldn’t decide what I fancy to eat. So I’m randomly cooking some leeks and butter beans with red onion and garlic on the hob, to have with some whole grain rice. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes you just need a snack of an apple, cheese and walnuts.

Made my own hummus and it’s delicious 😋 I didn’t have any lemon juice in, but it needed something to balance the oil so I put some feta into it and it works really well.

This. All of it. Less talk and more action. We don't have trust funds or inherited wealth and so we need to earn enough to live. Especially our young people. Unpaid internships are no good and their existence just adds to an already nascent feeling of hopelessness.

Just been to see 28 Years Later: Bone Temple. Good job I watched 28 Years Later on streaming the other day or I wouldn’t have had a clue what was going on. It was much gorier in parts, a bit too much (for me) but otherwise kind of amazing in a spectacularly unhinged way.

Was awake for hours in the middle of the night, and then slept until 8.30, that hardly ever happens! Cats were getting concerned they would never be fed again. Luckily they survived and now have nice full tummies to nap on 🥰😂
