I’ve been watching The Pitt and it’s so addictive I’m having trouble going to bed on time on work nights 😂 which is totally out character, I am usually dying for my bed from 8ish onwards 😵‍💫

Chicken thighs, roasted shallots and pine nuts, tenderstem broccoli and a Turkish bulgur wheat and rice mix. Delish.

Went to mum’s today for brunch out and a walk in the woods. Wild garlic everywhere, and a mandarin duck.

Anyway, I have put hedgehog food and some water out again, hopefully there will be other little guys who will appreciate a little snack. 🦔 In other news, some blue tits were having a proper bath in the bird bath earlier, splashing everywhere, little cuties 🥰 must have felt so nice on a warm day.

Had to take an injured hedgehog to the Hedgehoggery just now. Broken leg, apparently it probably won’t make it, but they gave it fluids and painkillers and were grateful I took it in so it can be pain free and comfortable 😭 😭 😭

Went to Shibden Hall yesterday, family home of Anne Lister, ‘Gentleman Jack.’ Wonderful house and grounds, had a great day out in the freakishly hot sunshine 😎

Ok so I just brushed the sofa and myself to clear away the cat hair and sat down for a minute before going to collect a friend from the station who’s visiting for the weekend, and of course they decide to sprawl all over me and the sofa 🤦‍♀️

Either the pollen is high today or I’m coming down with something. Which will be a constant state for the next 5-6 months now. 🤧

Today I discovered a local hedgehog rescue, The Hedgehoggery, and they advised on the food you can put out for hedgehogs, kitten food is better than most ‘hedgehog foods’ apparently, but they sent this to show which options you can go for.

Wondering why I’m so tired, then remembering I hardly slept last night. That would do it 🤪 Not even any particular reason for not sleeping, just random. Daisy came and cuddled me back to sleep at one point. I love her to absolute bits 🥰😭
