Australia has the tools, treatments and partnerships needed to eliminate hepatitis B and C by 2030. Hepatitis Australia has launched a new report, 'Achieving 2030', which shows the progress achieved to-date, and the consequences of falling short of hepatitis B and hepatitis C elimination targets.

Today, Hepatitis Australia attended the Pharmacy Guild of Australia's Women's Health Event at Parliament House. We got to explore a life-sized consult room and learn more about the growing role pharmacists play in supporting women's health.

Hepatitis Australia hosted a HepLink planning and implementation workshop in Tartanya/Adelaide. It was fantastic to bring together our members from across the country to embed implementation of the updated HepLink model to ensure everyone in Australia has a pathway to viral hepatitis services.

Yesterday marked day 1 of the #VH2025 conference! Hepatitis Australia was proud to be part of several key sessions focused on community-led action and hepatitis elimination, and connecting with community members and partners in the sector.

Yesterday, Hepatitis Australia hosted a scoping workshop with sector stakeholders to explore ways to collaborate and improve access to care and monitoring for people with hepatitis B. We look forward to continued collaboration in this important space. The workshop was hosted by Doherty Institute.

Hepatitis Australia's Senior Policy Analyst Ashma Shrestha attended the Healthcare in Secure Settings Conference. Her paper, developed with ASID and NACCHO, highlighted the urgent need to implement needle and syringe programs (NSPs) in prisons to support hepatitis C elimination in Australia.

It was a pleasure for Hepatitis Australia's CEO Lucy Clynes to join the Pharmacy Guild of Australia's President Trent Twomey to celebrate the lowering of the PBS medicine co-pay to $25. This will make medicines more affordable for those living with hepatitis B and hepatitis C in Australia.
